  • Discipline Policy

  • TCA and Columbia College have a goal for all summer art Campers to behave appropriately while learning about the rich and varied art media during camp, for their safety and the safety of others. Special effort will be taken to help our Campers develop and exercise positive social and practical skills, self-regulation, and have compassionate support from staff to have a safe, successful and enjoyable arts education experience. When campers are unable to follow standard school behavior guidelines, the following Three Strikes Policy, with corresponding written documentation, will be taken in response thereof:

Strike 1: The 1st Strike will result in being counseled by a counselor/staff member.

Strike 2:  The 2nd Strike results in camper taken to the administration with your counselor and camp Director. Parents will be called and notified.

Strike 3: The 3rd Strike will result in camper being sent home immediately after parental notification along with a request for pickup.

*NOTE: A camper who physically strikes, exhibits violent physical aggression, or uses foul/vulgar language or verbally threatens harm to a fellow camper or staff member will jump past the first two strikes, directly to Strike 3: parents notified, removal from Camp and sent home immediately.
